Shuttle, Parking and Traffic

Lamar University provides a shuttle transit service for all university students. There is no fee to ride the campus shuttle, but riders will be required to show a valid form of Lamar ID.

Shuttle Tracking

The campus shuttle service utilizes the BusWhere tracking system. Through the BusWhere app or online map, riders are able to:

Track the real-time location of all active shuttles and receive estimated times of arrival for each stop on their current route.
Access detailed information about each route offered by the campus shuttle service, including a visual representation of each route.
Stay informed about any schedule changes or updates through timely announcements related to the campus shuttle service.

Shuttle Schedule

Information about adjustments to shuttle operations will be announced in the BusWhere app. Shuttle arrival times may vary depending on traffic conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. Parking and Traffic Enforcement

Citations

Lamar University Police are authorized to issue two types of citations for violation of campus parking and traffic regulations. University parking citations are handled by the Parking Office. The right of an online appeal is handled through Self-Serv Banner via the Parking tab.

Unresolved parking citations

Unpaid parking citations for parking violations are recorded

In the name of a person in whose name the permit was bought.
In the name of the person in whose name the vehicle is registered with a state registration agency.

Note: If a student has the same family name and/or home address as the registered owner, then the unpaid charges will be recorded in the student's name.
